What should I pack for a trip to Greece in Spring?

admin on Mar-30-2011

I’m going on a school trip to Greece on the 21st of april and I will be staying there for 14 days.
I’m not sure of the temperature, the electrical outlets or the clothes that would be appropriate in that country… Please help?
I’m heading for Athens

Depends which area of Greece you are going to. Usually the northern parts are cooler. If you are going to Crete the current temp is 18-20 degrees, but cooler at night, so you can get away with a T-shirt daytime with a light jacket and then something a bit warmer in the evening. In April when you come it may be slightly warmer, but only by around 2 degs. Electrical outlets are two pin for Europe, so if you are coming from the UK bring an adaptor. Clothes warn are the same as UK and the rest of Europe.

  1. Mesenor Said,

At this period, the weather is warm.We usually wear short-sleeved shirts, but at night a jacket is probably required. The range of temperature is usually from 15 to 25 grades Celsius. Where exactly are you going to stay? There is a big difference between southern Greece(Athens and more southern) and northern Greece or mountainous places. In the Greek Islands, regardless if they are northern or southern, there is a quite warm climate from Spring to Autumn.

please pack light, make sure you have comfortable walking shoes, no matter where you are going in Greece you will no doubt be walking alot. temps are usually in the 70 ’s during the day and can be cooler at night. shorts are except-able every where except for touring churches and monasteries, and of course dining out at night. Packing light is not only makes it easier to travel, it also gives you spare room in your luggage for all the things you will want to buy and bring back home with you. have fun
