Traveling from Greece to Germany?
Hello, i was just wondering what is the best way to travel from Greece to Germany. I have had a look on the train websites but I haven’t really found much info for Greece to Germany.
The order of places we want to travel to is London – Paris – Spain – Italy – Greece – Greek Islands – Germany.
Is this the best order to travel to them in? or is there a better order.
We will be going the end of August to end of Septemper.
We are hoping to be in Germany for Octoberfest.
If you want to do this trip on that order, the best way is by plane… Aegean Airlines, for example, will cost you 150 euros to fly from Athens to Munich, i think it’s the best way, it’s faster and more relaxing. You will take the ferry from Athens to the Greek islands, and then the ferry back to Athens port (Piraeus) from there you can take the suburban train to the airport.
If you want the train, i guess through Venice would be better (see in http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/). Most Greeks that travel around Europe by car/motorbike take the ferry to Italy from the city of Patra, and then travel from there.

The London – Paris part can be done with the train. From there the things get tough.
Spain , Italy and Greece are quite some big countries and you have to say where exactly you plan to go on each one of them
If it is Madrid there is train service. If you mean Rome, train can take you there too. As for Athens the fastest is by plane.
From Greece to Germany the best way is plane. Trains from Athens going to Munich are too involved with many changes in the between plus it takes over 2 days travel.
