30 —— STARTAthens Lefkada

1 Keflonia Keflonia Keflonia Athens
2 Athens Athens Athens Athens
3 Athens Athens SantoriniSantorini
4 Santorini Santorini Santorini Milos
5 Milos Milos Milos Milos
6 Milos Athens END

Here I’m planing to travel in Greece from 30th August to 6th September. Can you please comment on whats bad o this plan.
I am planing to travel by bus or ferries.

How are you going to travel through these roots? By plane or by bus/boat?

[edit]
Athens-Santorini is almost 8 hours long.
Αthens to Lefkada is about 4-4:30 hours
Athens to Milos is around 4-5
Santorini to Milos is around 3:30
kefalonia and Lefkada are close and Kefalonia to Athens ( I think) is around 6 hours

I guess you are going to lose lots of time in travelling

Can’t you start right from one island, instead of Athens?

Example Kefalonia->Lefkada->Athens->Milos-Santorini and leave?

Now, it depends from where you are coming from, and if there are direct flight to those islands so you can avoid the 3 times visit in Athens.

When you will speak Greek as good as I speak English, then we will talk again.
I m not Native in English, neither I live in an English-speaking country like you.
So yes, I do make mistakes in English.
Do you have any interesting thing to add, to help the asker other than mocking the root/route thing?

As you can see, its not me who attacked you. I just answered a question and you started mocking me about my flaws in English.
I rarely TD you.

Nice answer. The country of Greece is obviously such primitive….jungle like land, that to go from city to city…..one has to cut him self through the roots of dense Greek vegetation. Bravo rodent, bravo!

The travel routes shouldn’t be that difficult.

Aside from trolling, not sure why Vasiliki’s answer would get thumbs down. It’s accurate.

I would say this is a bad plan. You will be on the go non-stop, spending 3-6 hours a day on travel. Not worth it. Since you only have a week, my suggestion is to focus on either the Aegean or the Ionian sea, and on no more than 2 islands plus Athens. Even that would be a lot. You’d probably have a better time on 1 island for 4-5 days and Athens for 2-3 days.

If you do go for 2 islands, Santorini and Milos are great pairings because one is very lively (too lively?) and the other is quite traditional. Kefalonia and Lefkada are also good pairings because of how close they are to one another, but they are bad in the sense that there isn’t much difference between them, and for a one-week trip, you’d be better off just picking one and really enjoying it. My vote between those last two is Kefalonia, but that’s just personal taste.

My other advice is to place the Athens portion at the end of your trip. That way, if you miss a ferry because of bad weather or whatever, you still have a buffer before your flight out of the country.

If you like Greece, then there will always be another time to come back and visit more places :)
