GPS coverage Greece?
I know by experience coverage is very poor. Worst of all, my TomTom that is performing very well in NW-Europe, is giving ‘zero’ coverage. Shame on them.
I have seen MIO working well in the Athens area, but then again, I do not know what brand/system is offering the best coverage.
Travelling in Rhodes (I have been there) & Karpathos (difficult to get lost) during May, we are soon travelling by own transportation during September & October throughout mainland Greece. I am aware there is far from complete GPS coverage, but what equipment/software combination is offering me the best guidance.
Appreciate help of those having experience.

I know GPS in its ‘G’ means global, so coverage is global. My question is why or if so, where to obtain GPS software that covers Greece roads.. ?

There is GPS coverage everywhere in the world as long as you are not in an area where the signal is disrupted (high buildings, lots of heavily leaved trees, underground or underwater, etc.)
With that said – you are lacking map coverage for your GPS device. These maps can be purchased online and sometimes even found for free online.
