“Arrived in Athens Int’l Airport on time Customs and Passport were a piece a cake All the baggage arrived on time and THEN

Kathy got to experience the “Med’s” culture. All the Buses and the Metro system are on a 24 hour strike protesting what ever is on the list of grievances the Greeks have. never the less after a 50 Euro Taxi ride to the Hotel we got in about 1200 local.

Then went out to explore the North end of Athens and specific area called Plaka. This is the old section of Athens that is quite quaint and pretty. There is the Roman Forum with Hadrian’s library from 130 AD lots of Greek ruins and we had a wonderful lunch of pork and eggplant.

We are tired and hungry so we will upload pictures a bit later
