Should I take my dog on vacation to Greece?
admin on Jan-20-2012
We are going to go visit family in Greece as we always do. We go for about 2 1/2- 3 months. Last year my dog stayed with a family friend of ours, but know he is not able to take care of him. I want to take my dog with me, but I think it might be too much of a hassle, with the fleas and ticks and the heat.
My dog is a Goldendoodle, that is the size of a standard poodle…maybe a bit larger, and weighs 70 lbs…should I take him with us?
Worst idea you ever had. The impound regulations on bringing live animals into another country could put your pet in impound for a year, and then another year in the United States before you would get it back. Why torture your pet with being impounded for 2 years and YOU get to pay for all of the impounding.

No , its a bad idea , have you seen how animals are transported on the plane , and the handling by baggage workers who wont give a f*** how frightened the dog gets .
Kinder to leave it at home .
And with the money you’ll save you can afford to have top-class professional kennel care for it while you are gone , too .
