Turkey,of course.
Turkey is a vast and varied country boasting incredible landscapes and natural wonders bordered by four different seas. Well known as a great destination for relaxing beach holidays, it also offers many sporting activities, some of the world’s most important ancient monuments, welcoming Turkish hospitality and a delicious and varied national cuisine.

Depends on what each traveler wants to see.

I say Greece and you say Turkey. What is the point of your question ? To create controversy ?
Personally, I will not give my fever to Turkey.

Depends on your taste in what environment you want to travel to.
A country with the greatest history in the world and warm hospitable people or a country with bazaars and half educated rude people.
Edit
If it comes to "ancient remains" and "rich in culture" comparing Greece with Turkey is like comparing Egypt with Alaska. No offense to Alaska.
Edit
I don’t thing im excessive.Search all libraries and if you show me ONE ancient Turkish reading i will show you an ancient Martian one.
As for ancient remains they all are Greek and Roman. If you want to admire ancient remains is better to visit the source.
As far as i KNOW but some may not KNOW Acropolis, Delphi,Knossos,Temple of Poseidon.Temple of Aphaia,Epidauros,Mycenae,Vergina, odeum of Herodes Atticus .

Turkey is for people that want sun at a cheap price. That’s all Turkey has to offer. If you want to stay in a genuine 5 star hotel, then Turkey is very, very expensive.
The Greek islands have it all: beauty, architecture, the best night life in the world, character, beautiful beaches, friendly people, every body speaks English. I could go on and on.

Greece is more beautiful, Turkey more interesting. There are many astounding geological features unique only to Turkey such as the travertine pools of Pamukkale, the subterranean cities at Capadoccia, the breathtaking steppe mountains with ancient remains at Nemrut, the red colored lake Tüz Gölü, one of the best preserved Roman cities Ephesus and of course Istanbul – there’s nothing like it. Both countries are rich in culture and have fascinating historical remains.

So many thumb downs … Perhaps I should have listed down the beautiful greek islands I visited..
With regards to ancient remains, it’s sad but true for Greeks that the archaeological structures are way more intact in Turkey since the invaders have already ruined most of them in Greece. If you have to make a strong statement, please KNOW your facts first.
My son went to both and loved both. My Turkish friend Oscar went to Greece and was treated with great friendship. Both are far better for tourists than over priced France.

Undoubtedly Greece. Because nowhere else in the world have I found a place that can offer everything I am looking for in a holiday. I believe it is the very best destination for travel and tourism, for all ages and tastes. Plus, it is a civilized, modern, European country, which I personally find much more appealing..and to be entirely honest, safer too.

Well Greece would be best. Just stay out of central Athens and don’t get involved with the protests.

Greece.
Thousands of islands to choose from, tones of archeological sights, great landscape, tourism for every single taste, delicious food, friendly people, rich culture, beautful music, everything.
Turkey is nice, cheaper, but Greece has much more to offer.
[Keyser]
Variety is the answer. Not quantity
Its not ”You have sea, we have sea, you have sightseeings, we also have, etc”
Visiting one island is not like visiting all, and visiting an archeological site is defenately NOT like visiting the same old everything.
A tourist have tones of them to choose from.
And yes, of course Greece has more remains than Turkey. From many different eras, not only ancient, ya ~ know.
Also, a wild-nightlife, is not the only choice that comes when we talk about islands. It’s one of em. Other are family friendly, other are traditional, other bohemian, other cosmopolitan, other romantic, etc..etc…
Someone can choose almost every mix of what he wants. Family & exotic? Green and partying? cosmopolitan and rocky? lots of many islands together to visit in few days? All of this.
I am not trying to ”look down” of what Turkey has, of course it has lots, thats why it is a popular tourist destination. I am pointing the variety that Greece gives, thats why I told that Greece has more to offer.
**Lets say i went to Greece last year and saw the stone rubble of the old Ancient remains ,now what? Im not interested in night-life for teenagers? Can i watch a Grand Prix circuit ? Do you have a Grand bazaar i can spend the day in? Or is it just beach all day?
**
Like I said before, one remain is not like seeing all, neither all the beaches are the same.
Every islands gives you different opportunities to choose from.
For example, mine ,Zakynthos, exept the exotic beaches, has cultural festivals, venetian era museums and stuff, a castle, a huge (compared to the size of the island) bazaar, religious festival, extreme sports, green and mountains,carreta-carreta
While other islands are not like Zakynthos, can provide other charms. Santorini for example, has breathtaking views, lovely arhitecture, rocky-vlanic areas, romantic getaways, less earthquackes, lol, etc
PS: Are you coming to Greece for tourism, or for watching sports? Duh….
If you are so interesting, then see Rally of Acropolis and watch the marathon, or even participate.LOL

Both are good, but I prefer Greece, it’s pretty awesome, but now be careful, there are a lot of riots there right now, poor Greece, I don’t really know why people do what they do.

@Keyser. Why do you waste your breath attempting to advance constructive argument, based upon fact and cogent reasoning. This 27-year old Greek islander, is; backward, ignorant, freaked out, emotionally hyper-sensitive, and, taking offense at anything and everything not emanating from her chosen few (naming them would be an utter waste of space.) They are the kind of Greek who would help bring about the destruction of their Country through their behaviour and stance. Their native intelligence has been nullified by their failure to develop maturity and style. Who respects Greeks? Who listens to Greeks? Who takes any notice of Greeks? Not even Cypriots. And that, is; saying something!

Awww, so sweet, Greeks and Turks fighting like kindergarten kids on whose country is the best.Ugh!
@Keyser, sorry but I thought you were more openminded. You know that I have always been speaking the truth in this forums and I have many times supported Turkish side. But to what you say I should object. Yes Greek islands and beaches are unique in the world, you cant find them in Turkey or in other any place in the world. Its not a coincidence that Santorini and Mykonos rank upon the top 5 islands worldwide. And no, Greece is not only ancient ruins and beaches for your info., the nightlife is pretty awesome here, you say you came to Greece, where did you go I am very interested to learn. And yes we have the Monastiraki flee market if you are interested in bazar shopping, we held the Olympic games in 2004 if you were interested in sports and the Paraolympics 2 months ago, you can go to Northen Greece for birdwatching, or to Paros for the annual international sailing games, to Parnassos and Arachove for skiing, etc etc etc.
But on the other hand yes Turkey has great beauties, its 7 times bigger than Greece with hundreds of places to visit, the service in Turkey is probably the best in the world , the food is awesome, and above all prices are cheaper than in Greece. I have been plenty of times in Turkey because I really like it, in Istanbul, Kusadasi,Bodrum, Antalya, Eskisehir, Bursa etc etc spending weeks on each trip, actually I just returned yesterday from Istanbul, I have many Turkish friends who often visit Greece and yes they do love it and they keep coming back and thats what really counts to me, not some anoymous opinions in the full of hatred forums in here.. Keyser, next time try to look things without extreme nationalism, trust me it will make you a better man. Just a friendly advice. Take care.

Edit 2: Keyser I know what you are talking about, but this happens also in the Turkish section, I have also seen all these years many responses from Turks who bash and downgrade Greece, but there are people like this in both countries, I will not catch the bait and answer them in a hateful way too/ You better come and discuss with real people in Greece, not with anonymous users in the internet who come here to troll or bash a country they have never actually been to. For your information, I know that noone will go for tourism in Diyarbakir or Batman , my statement was that Turkey is really a big country in terms of land, and its not only the west coast thats interesting, isnt Trabzon or Samsun interesting? How about Gaziantep or Afyonhysari? Alanya and Antalya? Konya or Mersin? Even Van, it has beautiful scenery. Anyway, I wont continue cause there’s no point. I prefer tet-a-tet discussion drinking some greek/turkish coffee on Pier Lotti hill. Atina’dan selamlar.
