I need to do a current event for history class, and I’m choosing this one, but I don’t have a specific article with all of the information I need. I’ve taken a very deep interest in this crisis, as a Greek living abroad.

Michael Lewis is probably one of the best financial journalists alive today, especially after he profiled the US financial crisis in 2008.

This article is somewhat long and filled with narrative, but honestly, it gives the best description of the Greek crisis there is. It discusses in detail the vast corruption of the state and how the people are suffering because of it. If you are interested, definitely read this:

Just remember Lewis became a millionaire in his early 20s working for an investment bank. He knows finance, economics, etc better than most people, and so he is very well qualified to speak about Greece.
