I had a civil marriage in Greece and got divorced many years ago, now i’m marrying in the church in italy and im concerned that the italian church will not allow me to marry because i was married before even though it was just a civil ceremony.
because they asked me for a state issued certificate of no impediment i wonder if the greek goverment will say on such document that i am divorced?

Dear Friend, You need to have a paper which shows you are divorced + you need to arrange a paper (document) which shows that you are still single after your divorce. Both has to be arrange from where you divorced. Hope this information helps you.
Or best way is to contact the municipality they will give you more info as well as help.
