There’s all sorts of economy related problems in greece at the minute and strikes at airports etc. seem very likely. Is this a reason to stop my friends and I from booking a holiday there in the summer and going to an alternative destination (e.g. Cyprus) instead?

On one hand no, because that economy needs tourists. On the other hand, there’s indeed a good possibility of strikes causing disruptions.

If I wanted to go I think I would but I’d also get a good travel insurance.

Me and my good lady usually book our summer hols around about now, and we usually go to Greece. But with all the financial upheaval taking place there, is it safe to book? And what are the likely scenarios, say, if Greece default or, heaven forbid, they go belly up and return to the Drachma? Will we get a cheap holiday? Will we get an expensive holiday? Will we get a holiday at all?

Definitely a green light. Greece offers best summer vacation, and it won’t change regardless of the outcome of the financial crisis. With so many possibilities it offers, you can always find a deal suitable for everyone’s pocket.

As far as a tourists are concerned it will only affect your transportation if any at all.

I’m looking for all inclusive holidays, with good pools, and lots of entertainment, suitable for young children between 8 – 15. Please with a trustworthy company such as Thomas Cook.

Are you sure you want to stay in Athens? I think that an island would be more pleasurable.

is this one reason it is such a popular destination for British people on holiday? what they do there usually? and where stay and how long most go for?

do they travel together in a group usually? why good or not? and why companies pay for this?

I very much doubt if there is a thing as that.
Back in the 1950’s there was works outings
to the seaside, but not to Greece.
