how is greece going to defend itself against the provocating turks?

admin on Jul-31-2010

the turkish army, needless to say, one of the strongest in the world, is going to have a 5 day military training in the aegean. i hear greece feels threatened! what steps will greece take? i’ve seen the strong greek commando squads chanting songs and feeling superior over macedonians, just a month ago or so. are they going to be deployed now, to chant the turks away? seriously, what’s the greek strategy?

Jimmy … Jimmy … you should be worried on our strategy regarding your fake-ghost-no-name country.
YOU WILL NEVER GET A NAME OTHER THAN "VARDARSKA".

Now, please, let me inform you that Turks aren’t that strong as army as it seems you hope!
They are simply provoking us because they know it’s the americans that are backing them … same like your country!
If they were alone they would never dare to think anything like what they currently doing.

To answer your question: we will sit back and wait for them to make the first move … the forst error … then we will see who is stronger.

  1. dinkum360 Said,

    Remember Thermopylae.
Seriously though, Greece would be smart to just sit back and let the Turks complete their exercises in the Aegean. It’s like the Russians joining exercises with the Colombian navy, no aggression.

  2. Race Bannon Said,

Greece is in the European Union and Turkey wants to become a member. I don’t think anything is going to go down.

Turn the other cheek perhaps? Wouldn’t that be nice.

  4. Chris Said,

Even as large & strong as the Turkish armed forces are the Greeks are equals in gear & their peoples abilities. Turkey would have to be willing to fight a very nasty war with Greece before doing anything stupid. Greece will probably just keep an eye on the Turkish forces doing the exercise to learn what they can & that will be all.

  5. runforfree Said,

I dont think they need a strategy. Greece is in the EU and it would be a bit like Argentina threatening the US. Besides Turkey wants to join the EU so its more games than anything.

  6. Baris Awareness Said,

I think you better check your
    reference to the Turkish being
    one of the strongest armies
    in the world, cause um
it is not true, and I am
    pretty sure Greece knows it
too, lol, so not to worry, I doubt
    any threat is being perceived.

Battle of Thermopylae. They’ve faced impossible odds before.
